It’s a Carnaval All Year Round for Miami Beauty Queen Stephie Torres

by Ramona Flume

King & Queen of Carnaval Miami-photo by StilMakIt’s not easy being Miss Carnaval Miami. Just ask this year’s crowned jewel, Stephie Torres. The show stopping beauty queen, model and actress is taking Miami by storm one day at a time and not slowing down anytime soon. We sat down with Stephie to talk about what life is like for one of Florida’s hottest faces. Read the exclusive interview to see what we found out.

What has been your most memorable experience as the reigning Miss Carnaval Miami?

My most memorable experience as Miss Carnaval Miami was the 8K Run, the first event of Carnaval Miami that I attended as queen. It was great to see people of all ages from our community get together for such a great cause.

It was also the day that I realized the importance of being a positive role model in the public eye. I had the opportunity to spend time with the youngest runners of the event and it felt amazing to have the children look up to me. They all wanted to take pictures with me and asked me to sign autographs. It is most definitely a memory I will cherish forever.

What is your favorite thing about Miami?

The cultural diversity found in this beautiful city is my favorite thing. You will meet people from all parts of the world here and each nationality has something great to offer. The city is a melting pot of cultures and I believe it’s one of the main reasons Miami attracts so much tourism year-round.

If you could live in any other city in the states, what would it be?

I absolutely love Miami, but if I had to choose another city to live in, it would probably be Los Angeles. If I ever move it would be to further my career as an actress and I would like to be closer to Hollywood.
